Executive Director Update WELCOME to our NEW WEBSITE!!!On behalf of the Hortense and Louis Rubin Dialysis Center, Inc. Board Of Directors, our Nephrologists, our dedicated Staff, and myself, I hope our participation on the Internet will provide useful information and an additional way for you to interact with us to ask questions or request more information.We have begun this website with the "basics" regarding current data on our system, but we plan to provide more detailed data as we progress. Our two dialysis facilities, located in Troy and Saratoga Springs,, serve a wide area of the greater Capital Region in New York State and into Vermont. We have always been an independent not-for-profit dialysis provider and have been able to be in the forefront of technological changes and improvements in our field. We began in the mid 1980"s as one of the first dialysis specific "paperless" centers, with an integrated computer system developed specifically for "The Rubin Center". Two of our more recent programs of providing "tandem dialysis" to enable some patients to achieve greater clinical results and our innovative "Daily Nocturnal Hemodialysis Program" (DNHD). The Rubin Center provides In-Center extensive training for patients who choose to dialyze themselves at home. The DNHD program provides minute-by-minute monitoring backup via a direct Internet monitoring system between the individual patient's home with our Saratoga Springs center.Our Board of Directors is committed to continuing the innovative approaches to enhancing clinical patient care quality, facility modernization and emphasis on working closely with our Nephrologists, clinical and administrative staff towards our founding mission, "Providing Dialysis with Dignity".On this website YOU have the ability to ask questions, request more information, seek employment opportunities or make a tax deductible contribution as a Friend of the Rubin Center!We look forward to making changes that help our visitors know our system better and provide current updates.
