NEWS for 2002!
Capital Campaign kicks off with April 6th events! Our independent,
not-for-profit dialysis system has received New York State Department of Health
approval to proceed to construct a 16-chair dialysis center in Clifton Park, New
York. After analyzing the
capacities of our existing Troy and Saratoga Springs based centers, we knew the
Clifton Park Exit 9 area, with close proximity to Routes 9 and 146 and the
Northway literally only a minute away from the new center, will help patients
obtain convenient care.
This major
expansion is due to an increasing number of people requiring the life sustaining
therapies of dialysis. Since
advanced diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension, and inherited genetic diseases are
the major causes of chronic kidney failure, unfortunately the demand for
dialysis is outstripping the availability of treatment capacity across the
Capital Region.
Our planned
center is designed to use the latest technologies to allow our dedicated staff
to care for the dialysis patients in the best ways possible.
Both in center hemodialysis and advanced home dialysis therapy facilities
are being included. Accessibility,
continuity and quality of care, and high level of professional staff interaction
characterize our continuing mission of “Providing Dialysis with Dignity”
across the Capital Region.
